Is the wurst ahead of us?

   The county I live in is resorting to nudist resorts to give local tourism a bit of a lift (and I had no idea I lived so near such a mecca).
   It appears the commissioners of Pasco County, Florida — sensing their paucity of sandy beaches — has decided to mine tourist dollars from the apparent Krautish passion for parading around their naughty bits.
   Evidently there's a good bit of money to be made by dangling Florida sunshine in front of German and British birthday-suiters, so the commissioners recently pitched in about $4,000 for a grant to lure unclad limeys and the like to sunny Pasco.
   There's about a dozen 'naturist' sites here, some going back 70 years, so the local officials are counting on plenty of land and sun to make Pasco a "Eurobird" destination.
   Eager to pump up the sagging late summer tourism business, one Pasco commissioner, Jack Mariano, was to have said "... this is all about putting heads in beds."
   Ooooooookay.
   Armed with taxpayer dollars, the Pasco Area Nudist Development Association (PANDAbare) under the direction of their president, Paul Brenot, a retired airline pilot, will soon be pandering Pasco to Europe. {Although I don't know how far four grand will get you in advertising and exactly how does one get elected president of a nudie bunch? What are the criteria?}
   "Europeans go on vacation in July and August for weeks at a time," President Brenot said in a recent news article, envisioning hordes of naked Continentals emptying their pockets while they are here.
   That may be, but one the jury is still out on whether the Euro currency is going to stand up and where, Mr. President, where exactly does Ohtmar keep his wallet when he goes to the mall? (Wait, wait, don't tell me.)
