Change you can't believe in

   Not without total revolution could we ever end the nuthold the Democrats and Republicans have on the United States of America. But should that ever occur, I'll be at the forefront of the Common Cents Party.
   Chief among the party's planks would be the elimination of the penny as valid currency.
   Americans should send every penny back to the Mint to be melted into .... (thoughts?), because whatever the final product becomes it will be worth far more than a penny. Since April 2006, it has cost more to make a penny than it is worth.
   Okay, that's five years ago.
   The penny is the most useless and expensive coin to produce and it gets you nothing! I will be happy to contribute my "change" pennies to the government in order to eliminate production, thus ending the absurd exercise of empowering these circular pieces of crap as currency.
   Get real. We see Lincoln's face everywhere; we're not going to forget him.
   Of course, the nascent Common Cents Party already faces a well-oiled propaganda campaign perpetrated by the country's most beloved, itinerant sperm-spewer Kevin Federline.
   The much-feared K-Fed threw his entire celebratory heft and free-spending reputation behind the organized howl to Save the Penny and, lo and behold, the useless piece of metal continues its pointless existence on life support.
   Kevin Federline saves the penny! {Kinda works along the lines of 'save or create xxxxx jobs' — you can always claim success no matter what happens.}
   Not that the former Mr. Spears' role has mattered all that much. Government inaction has maintained the current currency's wasteful production.
   All I'm saying is, it doesn't take a lot of common sense to see the need to stop making common cents.
