When you just can't deal with it

It's really unconscionable how drugs are marketed in this country and one of the more recent examples is for a happy pill called Pristiq.
The TV ad for this anti-depressant reveals a woman in her 30s (whom we later observe with her "family") who quietly whines about not having the energy or desire to get out of bed in the morning and then has to "wind herself up" to deal with the sadness and loss of interest in dealing with (what looks to be) a model husband, two healthy kids and a cuddly dog romping on a freshly cut lawn in the sunshine.
Well, there's no need to face that kind of hell in one's life when you can ask your doctor [nudge, nudge] about Pristiq [wink, wink]. The narrative is pushed along by an actual windup doll backed by a voiceover detailing the possible side effects {not "side impacts" as I'm sure some would like to say} of the drug.
Interestingly, when you go to the company Web site and read about the possible side effects, a couple of them stand out which are not mentioned in the commercial:
An empty tablet shell may appear in your stool. This is harmless. {what? Is this stuff encased in titanium?} Another possible inconvenience may be vomit that looks like coffee grounds.
  Hmmmm.
Yeah, meebee feeling a bit blue would be a lot easier to deal with than having to mop up coffee-ground vomit — that would really be something to be depressed about.
