More debt now faster gimme, gimme

Well, let's start the new decade with a fresh take on the latest attack on sensibility — a device from the Twitter founder which allows credit cards to be used with a cell phone. And, oh, yes, they're going to give away the instrument for free.
Okay, let's take the wretched state of personal wealth (as everyone has maxed out their credit already, and can't get anymore without paying through the nose) and add the [apparent] unsecure use of a cell phone and voilà! there goes the money you never even had in the first place.
Details, details; that's not going to stop Jack Dorsey from pushing his Square — a card reader that plugs into the headphone socket of most mobile devices — which is set to launch on iPhones and iPods in March.
His reasoning for such a wunderpieceofcrap?
"My co-founder is a glass artist. He sells things that people don't need — $2,000 glass faucets. They're beautiful. If he could not take credit cards, he wouldn't make the sale because no one carries around $2,000 in the cash." There is so much wrong with this quote that I'm not even going to address it.
According to CNN, Mr. Dorsey said his developers were still working to ensure the device was fraud proof. Um ... ah ... yeah, that would be nice.
